Installation Guide 🥝
Download ZXP/UXP Installer: Grab the free ZXP/UXP Installer app (by Adobe partner tools, search "ZXP Installer" or use Aescripts' free installer) and install it on your computer. This tool lets you install .zxp extension files directly into Adobe apps without needing developer mode.
Download ZXP InstallerClose Illustrator. Make sure Adobe Illustrator is fully closed before installing. The installer needs to register the extension with Illustrator, and it won't pick up changes if Illustrator is already running.
Open ZXP/UXP Installer. Launch the ZXP/UXP Installer app. You'll see a list of any extensions already installed, plus app icons at the top (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) showing which Adobe apps it detected on your system.
Drag and drop the PixKOOO.zxp file. Locate the PixKOOO_v1_0_0.zxp file you downloaded from Gumroad, then drag it directly into the ZXP/UXP Installer window. It will automatically detect it's an Illustrator extension and begin installing.
Wait for the install confirmation. The installer will show a green checkmark or "Installed" status once it's done. PixKOOO will now appear in the extension list on the left, under the Illustrator (Ai) tab.
Open Illustrator (or restart) Adobe Illustrator. Go to Window → Extensions → PixKOOO to open the panel. It will dock on the side just like any other Illustrator panel.
Start creating pixel art. Draw on the grid, adjust shape, symmetry, and colors, then hit "SEND TO Illustrator" to place your pixel art as an editable vector group right on your artboard.
