How to generate stock metadata

  1. Add an AI key. Open API keys and paste a key from Google AI Studio, Groq, OpenRouter, Mistral or OpenAI. Several have a free tier.
  2. Upload your files. Drop in images, vectors or videos. Pictures are shrunk in your browser before they go to the AI. AI and EPS files are read right in your browser. A same-name JPG is optional but faster.
  3. Set your rules. Choose title and description length, keyword count, and words to always include or avoid.
  4. Review and export. Edit anything, choose your agency, then download the CSV.

Questions

Is it really free?

There are no credits. You only pay your AI provider, and several offer a free tier.

Are my files stored anywhere?

No. Files go straight from your browser to the AI provider you chose. Your keys stay in your browser.

Can it write prompts from an image?

Yes. Switch to the Prompt tab, pick an art style, and export the prompts as CSV.

My API Keys

Add your own AI provider key to use Next Metadata for free. Keys are saved only in this browser and sent only to the provider you pick.

Tip: when a key reaches its limit, the tool switches to your next active key automatically. Keys from the same account share one limit, so mix providers for the most free requests.

Adobe Stock API key

Analytics uses the official Adobe Stock Search API with your own free key. The key is saved only in this browser.

Client ID (API key)
How to get a key

Adobe approves access first. Unless you have Adobe Stock for Enterprise or an Adobe affiliate account, you must request Stock API access through the survey on developer.adobe.com/stock/docs. If the Developer Console says "License required", this is why. A Creative Cloud plan does not include API access.

  1. Sign in with your Adobe ID at developer.adobe.com/console.
  2. Create a new project, choose Add API, and pick Adobe Stock.
  3. Choose the API key option, name it anything, and save.
  4. Copy the Client ID from the project page and paste it above.

Adobe's Search API does not share download counts or earnings. Results are ranked by Adobe's own sorting, such as Most downloaded.
